Get acquainted with DDS-Sound.
A midwest champion for quality sound reinforcement.

DDS Sound specializes in acoustic evaluations, and in design and installation of sound reinforcement and audio systems of the highest quality, for sanctuaries of churches and synagogues, and for all types of meeting places in public and private schools and institutions.

Leon Giannakeff founded Digital Duplication Services, Inc. in 1987. Prior to his entry into the sound reinforcement field, Leon enjoyed an international repuation as a specialized audio contractor, which included design and installation of duplication equipment for factories serving the largest recording labels, including Capitol Records (Canada). His earliest dupulicating units, from the 1960s, made 8-track cartridges. These, and his later audio cassette and VHS cassette duplicators - along with these formats - have become obsolete in the USA, but many of his audio and video media duplicators are still making product today, in areas of the world where these formats are still consumed, such as in Saudi Arabia.

Leon's 50 years of experience in audio, and his in-depth knowledge of sound reinforcement and all its tangent areas, including radio transmitters, as well as a thorough knowledge and understanding of the theory of both analog and digital audio, coupled with his sincere desire to help churches with sound systems that serve all worshippers, makes him and DDS-Sound the ideal choice for your next sound system upgrade.

Leon is based in Columbia City, Indiana (northeast Indiana just west of Fort Wayne), but his clients are far and wide. It is not uncommon for him to travel as far as 500 miles from his Indiana base to do evaluations and system installations.

DDS-Sound can handle traditional sound reinforcement installations, as well as the latest in wireless devices, from multiple wireless microphones systems to systems serving the hearing imparied.

Do I really need DDS-Sound?

Most pastors, lay readers and church musicians may not realize that their parishioners may not be hearing the worship services clearly. If parishioners cannot hear the service well, they may not complain, but hearing difficulties may eventually become a reason for parishioners not attending worship.

DDS-Sound can perform an acoustic analysis of any room, and can design a cost-effective solution to any sound reinforcement problem. This is accomplished with a 6 step approach, where atttention is given to every detail.

[1] ANALYSIS. Leon performs an audio spectrum analysis. Testing data is compared with feedback of parishioners through return of questionnaires. Then Leon observes how the existing sound system performs during an actual meeting or worship service, and uses all of this information to determine the best solution.

[2] DESIGN. Leon will evaluate existing equipment for proper function and will recommend equipment component updates, choosing only equipment that he knows, by experience, to be the most reliable. Leon will recommend replacing or re-purposing components only when necessary.

[3] EXPERT INSTALLATION. Leon personally wires and installs each system so that the installation EXCEEDS even the most demanding and stringent of FCC specifications, electrical codes and safety standards.

[4] TESTING. Leon personally tests each system he designs. Leon provides what most other firms cannot: Upon completion of installation, he performs an acoustic alignment and a room equalization, adjusting all components so that the complete system is a perfect match to the unique acoustics of the room for which it is designed.

[5] DOCUMENTATION. For contractors whose main goal is to sell as much equipment and components as possible, a quality installation is not considered to be essential. Such contractors are the same ones that provide no documentation as to the complex wiring and connections that tie the components together. DDS-Sound provides the client with COMPLETE, written documentation and schematics, including all custom wiring. In the event that additions, modifications and updates are required in the future, DDS-Sound's documenation is your assurance that future changes can be made quickly and with confidence, by any qualified audio technician with an electronic engineering degree and / or the ability to read electronic schematics.

[6] TRAINING. Upon completion of installation and testing, Leon will give a training session for your volunteers or employees, covering proper operation of the system. His training covers basics and essentials, as well as all of the special features and functions of the system. Training is included within the total contract price.
